{A Little about us}

My love for breeding began about 13 yrs ago, when my mom brought home a cute Himalayan cat named Felanie. She was a gorgeous blue point with piercing blue eyes. My mom and I then teamed up and got a small breeding program of Persian and Himalayan cats. We were a team! We loved to show them all across Fl.

About 4 yrs into our breeding program I met a wonderful man, which is now my husband. He owned a black n tan longhair dachshund named Cody. He was the love of his life. Shortly after we met, Cody now around 13 yrs old got sicker and had to be put down. It broke my husbands heart. So for X-mas one year I decided to get him a puppy, which I picked him a black n tan long hair named Tyler. He was the cutest spunky little thing, and from then on I was hooked. A few months later we purchased another pup, a red dapple, which is our Daisy! She became quickly the princess of the household. Since Tyler was her brother we decided to get a male that wasn’t related and give this breeding thing a shot! So that’s when we purchased Logan our ee red boy in June of 2008. Dachshunds quickly became the love of MY life.

I still continued breeding Persians before I got into the doxies. About 5 yrs after we met, my husband and I relocated to Pennsylvania. That’s when I really started to get serious about wanting to continue this new found passion.

So now I am almost 12 yrs into it and loving every moment. These dogs have brought so much joy into my life. They have got me through some tough times, May 10’ my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. It was a hard hit for me, now being 1500 miles away. My mom passed away January 28th, 2013, and it is a constant battle with staying upbeat. But the amazing birth of these dogs and watching them grow has helped keep my chin up and see the light at the end of the tunnel. Without them I’d be lost. My life solely revolves around the happiness of my dogs. So in January of 2020 we decided it was time to relocate to something bigger and better!

On August 20th, 2020 We closed on our DREAM HOME, located on 5 acres in the country of Burton, Ohio. After 7 months of planning & construction, we got to move in on March 9th, 2021!!

Our dogs now have an entire floor of our home dedicated just to them!! It is 3000 sq ft. that includes 4 x 6, 4 x 8, 5 x 5 and 8 x 12 "doggy suites". Our seniors have an 8 x 12 suite all to themselves! We have all of our dogs paired up with their own buddy.

Their floor of our home is complete with a nursery, laundry room, custom grooming tub, and an entire kitchenette that doubles as my grooming table with under cabinet lighting. Their floor has a door that leads right out to their massive yard (we have 520 ft of fencing). It has truly been a dream come true, for us, AND our dogs!
I am proud to say ALL of my dogs are raised IN my home with us, and some sleep with us nightly.

I strive to produce some amazing pups, most boast import lines and even some champion lines. I am so happy to be able to full fill folks homes with their hopeful lifetime companions, and if anything is to arise and you can't keep your pup/dog I offer a lifetime of support, and return, any of my dogs/pups can be returned at any time for any reason, I will NEVER turn them away. I hope to hear from you soon! Welcome an Ice Legendz pup into your home today, it will be the best decision ever!

Side Note- We changed our Kennel name to honor my mom. Our Persian cattery was called Ice Legendz Persians. So I decided to honor her with carrying on her name! We were formerly known as Tara's Star Doxies in our earlier years of breeding.
